Setup Credentials

    Open Merchant Portal or contact Klarna support — Retrieve the API credentials from the Klarna Merchant Portal. If they are not available there, contact your regional Klarna merchant support team.

    Locate the API key — Find the API key that matches the environment you want to use. Klarna API keys follow the format `klarna_<live|test>_api_...`.
  3. 3.
    Save the credential details securely — If Merchant Portal also shows a UUID username together with the API key, save that as well in case a legacy username/password client needs it.
  4. 4.
    Confirm the environment — Use test credentials for playground or testing, and switch to live credentials when you are ready for production.
  5. 5.
    Paste the credentials into Junipeer — Enter the Klarna API key in Junipeer. Only add the UUID username if Junipeer or the specific integration setup explicitly asks for it.
